Neighborhood

The territory of Esena gardens has a rich history. In the 19th century, it housed the residence of the mayors of Riga, at that time it was popularly called the Dreilinga or Gotān manor. In the 18th century, the pastor of Riga Cathedral Church, Imanuels Justs Esens, became the owner of the manor, therefore it was called Esena manor. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, it came into the possession of the rich Russian merchant Popov family. During the USSR, the territory became state property, but in 1995, Popov’s heirs regained the beautiful plot of land and the manor.

The neighborhood of Esena Gardens has been created for those who like an active lifestyle, there are forest trails within reach, where you can go jogging or cycling with your new neighbors. In the summer, sunbathing in the garden or a few minutes’ drive to the sea will become a daily ritual, because the location of the village of Esen Gardens is ideal for enjoying the goodies of Lake Esena or even the nearby sea.
